14 injured in group clash

SAMBA, Jan 9: Fourteen persons were injured in a group clash at village Khidian under the jurisdiction of Vijaypur Police Station in district Samba this morning.
All the injured were shifted to Government Emergency Hospital Vijaypur where from four of them with critical injuries were referred to GMC Jammu.
According to police there was an altercation between the two groups of people over the flowing of drainage water in the morning. The one group objected the flowing of drainage water which was coming from the area of another group from their vicinity and soon the tempers ran high and both the groups attacked each other with sticks and sharp edged weapons resulting into injuries to 14 persons.
The Vijaypur Police has registered a case and started investigations. However no arrest has been made so far.
The injured have been identified as Naseeb Singh, 58, Thoru Ram, 75, Dhian Chand, 65, all sons of Amar Nath, Ashok Kumar, 52, Pummy Kumar, 22, Kuldeep Kumar, 40 all Sons of Thoru Ram, Neelam Devi 45, wife of Ashok Kumar, Uttam Singh, 58, Son of Kartar Singh, Suram Singh, 58 , Janak Singh, 65 sons of Shamsher Singh, Raghvir Singh 28, Son of Janak Singh, Sahil Singh, 23, Son of Mohan Singh, Kartar Singh 85, son of Chatter Singh and Rajinder Singh, 29, son of Waryam Singh.
