KATHUA Apr 7: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, incharge Police Post, Korepunnu succeeded in foiling two bovine smuggling bids and rescued 14 bovine animals and apprehended two notorious bovine smugglers.
Police team led by ASI, Kartar Chand, incharge Police Post, Korepunnu during checking duty in during late last night apprehended two notorious bovine smugglers namely Jeevan Massi, S/o Khursheed Massi, R/o Dinanagar Punjab and Mohd Shafi, S/o Abdul Majid, R/o Ramkote Kathua and saved 14 bovine animals in the process illegally carried by accused in two trucks bearing registration number, PBO6V-6434 and HR45C-9819.
Police registered a case under relevant sections of Law. Further investigation into the case is going on, police said.
