UDHAMPUR, Jan 8: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 14 animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir in a truck.
Police also seized the truck and arrested its driver, identified as Julfan, son of Nasimu of Kasimpur, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A case FIR number 05/2019, under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Rehmbal and further investigation is going on.
The truck, bearing registration number UP11 AT-0997 was intercepted by a Police team, led by SHO Rehmbal, Inspr Paramjeet Singh, under the supervision of Zahid Saif Wani, DySP HQ Udhampur.
