JAMMU, May 25: Authorities today seized 135 kilograms of paneer from the General Bus Stand area in Jammu and sent samples for food analysis to check its quality and safety.

They said the paneer had arrived in both packets and open from Gurdaspur in Punjab and some other areas.
According to officials, the consignment was brought by a local vendor registered under the name “Saraswati Trader” and was accompanied by proper billing documents.
“Prima facie, the paneer appeared to be fine when the packets were opened. However, samples have been collected and sent for laboratory testing,” an official said.
Further action will be taken depending on the report of the food analysis, he added.
