JAMMU, Mar 13: At least 13 vehicles were seized for illegal mining in Jammu district today, police said.
They said that one tractor trolley was seized by Police Station Akhnoor, another by Police Station Nagrota, two vehicles by Police Station Bishnah, one tractor trolley by Police Station Kahnachak, three vehicles by Police Post Sidhra, one tractor trolley by Police Post Pounichak, one dumper by Police Post Phallain Mandal, one tractor trolley by Police Post Chinnore, one dumper by Police Post Canal, and one dumper by Border Police Post Treva.
The recoveries of the vehicles mining in violation of a High Court order was made by SHO Akhnoor, Inspector Harjeet Singh; SHO Bishnah, Inspector Vikram Sharma; SHO Police Station Nagrota, Insepctor Vishav Partap Singh; SHO Kahnachak, Inspector Rahul Mahajan; Incharge Police Post Sidhra, Arun Kumar; Incharge Police Post Pounichak, SI Ram Rattan, Incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal, PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, Incharge Police Post Chinnore, PSI Rajesh Kumar; Incharge Police Post Canal, PSI Mohammad Younis Khandey and Incharge BPP Treva PSI Sunil Singh Ketrawal, police said.
“DMO Jammu has been intimated about the seizures made,” police further said.
