JAMMU, May 25: In six separate cases, 13 vehicles involved in illegal mining have been seized by Jammu Police.
According to a police spokesman, while one vehicle each (Tractor Trolleys without registration number) were seized by Police Station Miran Sahib and Police Station Kanachak, one tipper bearing registration number JK02AR-7539 was seized by Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and one dumper bearing registration number JK02-BJ4671 by Police Post Pargwal.
He said, similarly, 3 vehicles (two dumpers wearing registration number JK21G-7977 and JK21H-5080 and one tractor without registration number was seized by Police Station Bishnah while 3 tractors without registration numbers were seized by Police Station Akhnoor.
The recoveries were made by SHO Police Station Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, SHO Police Station Bishnah Inspector Pawan Kumar, SHO Police Station Akhnoor Inspector Hilal Azhar, SHO Police Station Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Vikram Sharma and Incharge Police Post Pargwal PSI Baljeet Singh Parihar, from their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
