DODA, Oct 7: Thirteen passengers were injured when the mini-bus they were traveling in skidded off the road and turned turtle near Pranoo, this morning.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-1548 was on its way to Doda from Bhalla area of Bhaderwah, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle on the road near Pranoo, resulting into injuries to thirteen passengers.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Doda, where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
The injured have been identified as Aisha Bano, daughter of Javed Ahmed of Shurian, Prithvi Raj, son of Kunj Lal of Hanga Bhaderwah, Amar Chanr, wife of Krishan Lal of Batiya Bhalla, Sabder Ali, son of Abdul Aziz of Dugga, Parveena, wife of Jaffer Hussain of Soora Bhalla, Rafiq Begum, wife of Sajad Ahmed of Pranoo, Aisha Banoo, daughter of Hashim Din of Bonjwah, Hushaara Begum, wife of Mohammad Shafi of Chiralla, Sindoori Devi, wife of late Suraj Ram of Batooli, Afia Begum, wife of Wahid Iqbal of Pranoo, Kousar Ahmed, wife of Riaz Ahmed of Katri, Umar, son of Abdul Salam of Srinagar and Buby, son of Wahid Iqbal.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Bhaderwah Police Station and investigation started.
