13 in fray after scrutiny for JCCI elections

JAMMU, Feb 4:  After scrutiny of  papers for the elections of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) today,  all the 13 contesting  members were cleared for the polls by Scrutinizing Committee.
Today the members of the Election Commission,  including  Annil Suri (president),  Rajan Suri, Jagdish Langar and Ashwani Khullar during meeting at Chamber House, Rail Head complex, Jammu,  conducted scrutiny of  the nomination papers of the contesting candidates.   All the papers were found valid.
It was decided in the meeting that voting will strictly be held on the basis of photo voter cards  and the members who have not submitted their photographs should submit the same before Feb 15 through e-mail or in person to the Chamber office. The last date of withdrawal of nominations is February 15 and election will be held on March 5 (Sunday)  from 10 am to 5 pm at Chamber’s House, Rail Head complex.
