JAMMU, May 30: Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, which was dedicated completely for COVID-19 positive patients, has successfully treated and discharged 13 patients till date.
“Admissions of COVID-19 positive patients were started on April 12 in the hospital. Till date, 63 positive patients have been admitted in the hospital out of which 13 patients have been treated and discharged,” said Dr LD Bhagat, Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, in a press release issued today.
Dr Bhagat informed that at present 50 patients are admitted in the hospital and out of them 16 are pediatric patients. He further revealed that dialysis of only COVID-19 positive patients is being done in the hospital and till date, 11 dialysis sessions have been conducted.
“Today, LSCS operation of COVID-19 positive lady, who was referred from Mendhar, was done in the hospital,” he said, adding, both lady and her child are doing fine. He further shared that COVID-19 sample collection is also being done in the hospital and around 4300 samples of COVID suspects have been collected till date. The surgery was conducted by Dr Atulya Gupta, senior gynaecologist.
