SRINAGAR, June 28: Crime Branch Kashmir has registered case against officials for illegal appointments of 13 persons in the Health Department.
According to official spokesman, Crime Branch Kashmir received a complaint alleging therein that Health Department Baramulla and Bandipora has made fraudulently and dishonestly several appointments in the department who were later posted in Bandipora Gurez.
A preliminary verification was conducted during the course of which it came to fore that appointment orders purportedly shown to have been issued by the Director Health Services, CMO Baramulla, BMO Bandipora Gurez etc.
The authorities concerned however have denied to have made such appointments. The enquiry further revealed that the officers/officials of Health Department posted in districts Baramulla and Bandipora by abusing their official positions have appointed 13 persons identified as Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Tantray, son of Gh. Ahmad Tantray, Ishfaq Ahmad Tantray, son of Bashir Ahmad Tantray, Farooq Ahmad Tantray, son of Mohammad Shaban Tantrary, Nazir Ahmad Tartary, son of Ghulam Qadir Tantray, Ghulam Hassan Malik, son of Ghulam Ahmad Malik, Raja Mushtaq Ahmad, son of Mohammad Ramzan Tantray, Mohammad Iqbal Dar, son of Abdul Rahim Dar, all resident of Mantrigam Bandipora, Sajad Hussain Lone, son of Mohammad Sultan Lone of Bagtore Bandipora, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, son of Ghulam Nabi Lone of Aythmulla Bandipora, Nazir Ahmad Reshi, son of Ghulam Mohammad Reshi of Khursedhpora Bandipora, Munshi Muneer Ahmad, son of Munshi Ghulam Ahmad of Quilmuqam Bandipora, Irshad Ahmad Lone, son of Ghulam Qadir Lone of Chorwan, Shahpora and Mohammad Subhan Reshi, son of Mohammad Yosuf Reshi in the Health Department and posted in Bandipora/Gurez during last 2 to 3 years with the retrospective effect from the year 2004, 2005 and 2006.
In this manner, it was found that officers and officials of the Health Department of district Baramulla by abuse of their official position have appointed the above-mentioned individuals fraudulently and dishonestly thereby confusing a wrongful gain upon the illegal appointees and a corresponding loss to the state exchequer. Accordingly, case has been registered against them.
