SAMBA, Aug 20: The district administration today removed encroachment from 12 kanal of prime State land at village Salmari near Radha Swami Ashram with installation of an official board.
The anti-encroachment drive was conducted under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Samba, Mubarak Singh which has retrieved a prime land having a market value of Rs 3 crore approximately. The land will be used for construction of Government offices.
During the process, the DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Inderjeet, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, (ACR) Mohammed Yousf Malik, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar Vijaypur.
It was also informed that, earlier, 27 kanal of land was retrieved from the encroachers in the same village.
