JAMMU, Nov 9: Twelve crusher units, which were operating illegally were sealed in Bajalta area.
As per official spokesman, a team comprising District Mineral Officer (DMO) Jammu Ankur Sachdev, Naib Tehsildar Shiv Kumar Gupta and Incharge Police Post Sidhra SI Ayub Khan seized 12 crusher units which were operating illegally in Bajalta area.
On the basis of complaints, grievances and inputs from field functionaries regarding illegal functioning of stone crushers in Bajalta area, a team from Geology and Mining Department Jammu contacted SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma and SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh who provided sufficient police assistance and desired support to carry out the operation.
More such operations shall be carried out to curb illegal mining in future as well.
