116 J&K candidates get jobs under Himayat

JAMMU, Nov 4: Himayat Mission Management Unit (HMMU) today organized a placement drive at Apollo Med Skills Jammu, in which around 116 candidates trained under Himayat Programme were presented appointments with one of the leading employer, Bharat Vikas Group Limited (BVG).
About 116 skilled candidates participated in the event, who were handed over offer letters with salary of Rs 1.49 lakhs per annum, marking the event for the participating Himayat-DDUGKY trained candidates.
The job roles for the selected candidates would be Emergency Medical services in one of India’s largest organization, which provide free ambulance Medical emergency by dialing toll free number ‘108’.
The event was launched by Chief Operating Officer Himayat Mission Management Unit (HMMU) Kapil Sharma and other officials from HMMU, State Rural Livelihood Mission (JKSRLM).
Speaking on the occasion, COO expressed hope that in future more youth will be provided training and subsequent placements under the scheme.
Among others, Vijay Pandita, HR Manager, BVG, Vikar Assistant Operations Manager, BVG, Shisher Sengupta State Head Apollo Med skills were present on the occasion.
Later, Chief Operating Officer also flagged off Himayat branded vehicles at Jammu marking a beginning for mobilization and counseling for newly sanctioned projects of various project implementing agencies.
Wock Hardt Foundation, Information Technology and Research Centre (ITRC) and Noida Productivity Council (NPC) were among the Project Implementing Agencies, which organized the ‘Vehicle Flag-off Event’.
Himayat-DDUGKY is implemented in Private-Public-Partnership (PPP) mode, where organizations registered with Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) Government of India (GoI), implement the programme as Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs).
Under the Scheme, the State’s youth in the age group of 15-35 years can undergo skill development and placement free of cost which is inclusive of food, accommodation, uniforms, learning materials and one-time travel to the place of placement. At present, 32 Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) are assigned skill training and placement target in Jammu and Kashmir.
