11 officers get DG Prison’s medals

JAMMU, Jan 25: Eleven officers of the Prison Department have been conferred with Correctional Service and Director General’s Prison Medal on Republic Day.
President of India has awarded an official of J&K Prison Department namely  Zayau-Din, Head Warder, earlier serving at Central Jail  Srinagar and presently posted at District Jail Leh with conferment of Correctional  Service Medal for meritorious service on the occasion of Republic Day.
Besides ten Prison Department officials have also been conferred with Director General’s Prison Medal for their dedication and devotion towards their duties. They are Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, Assistant Superintendent, Ghulam Ahmad Wani, Senior Assistant, Ashok Pathania, PA/CA, Ritu Gupta, Computer Assistant, Zakir Iqbal, SG Warder, Haresh Kumar, SG Warder, Iqbal Ahmed, SG Warder, Bashir Ahmed Thokar, Warder, Shakeel Ahmad Shah, Warder and Devinder Singh, Warder.
Director General of Police, Prisons J&K SK Mishra hoped that the awardees will continue to serve the Department with same zeal and zest. He further appealed to all the staff down the rank to take aspiration from these awardees and prove their selves in the years to come and achieve the feat.
