11 injured as bus rolls down into gorge

DODA, Jan 3: Eleven persons were injured when the bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Ganpat bridge here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing Registration Number JK02BK-7118 was on its way to Jammu from Bhaderwah when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into 200 feet deep gorge near Ganpat bridge here, resulting into injuries to 11 persons including driver and conductor. After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the eleven injured persons were rescued and shifted to GMC Doda, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured were identified as Pushvinder Singh (driver), son of Sukh Dev of Katra, Susheel Singh (conductor), son of Davinder Singh of Ramnagar District Udhampur, Mohammad Shabir, son of Ali Batt of Gundna, Ashok Kumar, son of Roshan Lal of Jammu, Vista Devi, wife of Sanjay Kumar of Bhaderwah, Arun Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Bhalla Bhaderwah, Naseema Begum, wife of Ghulam Haider of Bhalla Bhaderwah, Inder Kumar, son ofAmar Chand of Bhaderwah, Neelma Devi, wife of Dharminder Singh of District Udhampur,  Hamanshu, son of Sanjay Kumar of District Udhampur and Kamlesha Devi, wife of Pritam Singh of Bhaderwah.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
