11 gamblers arrested with Rs 1.45 lakh stake money

JAMMU, Aug 21: Gandhi Nagar police arrested 11 gamblers along with Rs 1.45 lakh stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station led by SHO Inspector Gurnam Singh conducted raid in open plot at Rampura and nabbed 11 gamblers along with Rs 1.45 lakh stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons were identified as Paramjeet Singh, son of Kulbir Singh of Simbal Camp Jammu, Balwinder Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh of Rani Bagh Satwari, Sonu, son of Subash Chander of Nai Basti Jammu, Pawan Slathia, son of Rishi Slathia of Jeevan Nagar Satwari, Naresh, son of Lal Singh of Nai Basti Jammu, Pardeep Kumar, son of Des Raj of Nai Basti Jammu, Gurdeep Singh, son of Inderjeet Singh of Marallian Miran Sahib Jammu, Rohit Singh Jasrotia, son of Kamal Singh of Mertha, Kathua, Gagandeep, son of Ghar Singh of Satwari Jammu, Rinku, son of Rattan Lal of Nai Basti Jammu and Vikas, son of Ramesh Kumar of Nai Basti Jammu.
All the eleven gamblers have been booked under Section-13 Gambling Act by Gandhi Nagar Police Station.
