UDHAMPUR, May 19: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 11 bovines besides arresting the alleged smuggler, here today.
Police team of Police Post Tikri intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK19A-4841. Upon checking, 11 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle in a very cruel manner and without any valid permission.
Police rescued all the bovines and arrested driver of the vehicle, identified as Pervaiz Ahmed, son of Abdul Qayoom, resident of Barhog, Dharamkund, Ramban.
In this regard, a case FIR number 68/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
