JAMMU, Aug 8: Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 11 cattle and arresting two persons.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02BW-1755.
During checking, police team rescued 11 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Mohammad Farooq, son of Mohammad Iqbal of District Budgam and Talib Hussain, son of Gugar Din of Jandrah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 314/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma.
