RAJOURI, Nov 4: The police has seized 100 cement bags from the house of a Sarpanch during raid at Chowkian village in Darhal area last evening.
Reports said a police party led by SHO Mohd Rafiq Khan under the supervision of DySP Mujeeb-ur-Rehaman conducted raid in the house of Sarpanch Shahbaz Malik and recovered 100 bags of RDD cement. The cement bags were seized and an FIR No. 60/2013 under Sections 406/409/109 RPC was registered against Sarpanch, Junior Engineer of RDD Rehman and one Mohd Khalil, Panchayat Secretary.
The police said that several raids were being conducted at various hideouts to nab the absconding employees and Sarpanch of the said village booked for the offence. The raid was conducted on the basis of specific information.
