100 cases in J&K, two in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Sept 29: One hundred persons today tested positive for COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir and two in Ladakh while no casualties were reported in the two Union Territories.
Among 100 cases in J&K, 76 were recorded in Kashmir division and 24 in Jammu.
Out of 24 cases in the Jammu region, the highest eight were registered in Kathua district followed by six in Jammu, two each in Rajouri, Doda, Poonch and Ramban districts and one each in Udhampur and Samba districts. Kishtwar and Reasi districts didn’t report any fresh cases.
As 13 persons recovered from the virus, Jammu region now has 299 active positive cases.
Both COVID positive cases in Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
The UT of Ladakh now has been left with 94 active positive cases including 90 in Leh and four in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 76 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 49 from Srinagar, 9 from Baramulla, 5 from Budgam, 2 from Pulwama, 4 from Kupwara, 2 from Anantnag, 3 from Bandipora, 1 from Ganderbal and 1 from Kulgam.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 205,546 including 202,208 recoveries and 2,249 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,388 including 1,089 from Kashmir division.
With 132 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 323,510, which is 98.23 percent of the total cases.
