JAMMU, June 4: Continuing its drive against the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which teams of Police Stations Akhnoor, R S Pura, Jhajjar Kotli and police post Sainik Colony raided different locations in their respective areas and seized 10 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
While two vehicles (1 dumper bearing registration number JK02CJ-8366 and 1 tractor without registration number) was seized by police post Sainik Colony, 4 vehicles (3 tractor trolleys bearing registration numbers JK02CC-6418, JK02CE-4021, JK02BG-9913 and one vehicle without registration number) were seized by police station Akhnoor.
Besides, 2 tractor trolleys without registration numbers were seized by police station R S Pura and 2 tippers bearing registration numbers JK14A-7761 and JK02BF-1458 were seized by Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
