10 services personnel among 105 test +ve in Kashmir for COVID-19

Srinagar, June 28: Seven men from BEACON, three policemen including a traffic cop and a doctor were 105 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Kashmir today.
Among the cases, 47 were confirmed at SKIMS Bemina, 30 at CD hospital and at least 28 at SKIMS Soura laboratories.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura, Dr Farooq Jan told Excelsior that 1777 samples were processed at the Viral Diagnostic Lab of the hospital today and 28 tested positive.
Among the positive cases, nine are from Pulwama, seven from Kulgam, six from Srinagar two each from Kupwara and Anantnag besides one each from Baramulla and Bandipora. Theses cases include two men from DPL Handwara.
Principal SKIMS Bemina, Dr Riyaz Untoo, told Excelsior that 468 samples were processed at the hospital’s virology lab today and 47 tested positive for COVID-19 including 24 from Budgam and 23 from Srinagar districts.
In the Chest Diseases Hospital in Srinagar Virology Laboratory, 30 tested positive and seven Border Roads Organization personnel from 109 RCC based in Trehgam in district Kupwara.
So far out of 351865 test results available, 344772 samples have been tested as negative and 7093 as positive.
As of now, 276057 travelers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for surveillance which included 40065 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 34 in Hospital Quarantine, 2683 in hospital isolation and 46873 under home surveillance. Besides, 186308 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Till date 7093 positive cases were reported from J&K with 2683 active, 4316 have recovered and 94 have died including 11 in Jammu division and 83 in Kashmir region. Among the positive cases 2239 have been reported as travelers while 4854 as others.
Authorities said that Bandipora has 289 positive cases with 38 active, 250 recovered and one death; Srinagar has 874 positive cases with 590 active, 262 recovered and 22 deaths; Anantnag district has 635 positive cases with 166 active, 463 recovered and 6 deaths; Baramulla has 806 positive cases with 416 active, 375 recovered and 15 deaths; Shopian has 732 positive cases with 190 active, 532 recovered and 10 deaths; Kupwara has 534 positive cases with 149 active, 380 recovered and 5 deaths; Budgam has 393 positive cases with 177 active, 209 recovered and 7 deaths; Ganderbal has 90 positive cases with 28 active and 62 recoveries; Kulgam has 766 positive cases with 252 active Positive, 501 recoveries and 13 deaths and Pulwama reported 440 positive cases with 235 active cases and 201 recovered and 4 deaths.
