Srinagar, Apr 8: A local court here today remanded three persons including two Pakistan terrorists arrested on Tuesday to 10 days police custody.
The Additional Sessions Judge TADA/POTA Designated Special Court under NIA Act Srinagar allowed the application moved by the police seeking remand of three persons including two Pakistan nationals Hureira and Khubaib @ Usman Bahi of Pakistan and Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Danihama.
“Accordingly, the instant application is allowed and accused persons are remanded to Police custody for a period of 10 days w.e.f. 07-04-2026 to 16-04-2026. Investigating Officer concerned is directed to get the accused persons medically examined after every 48 hours. Accused persons have also been apprised of their right to engage counsel during remand period”, reads the court order passed by the TADA court presided by Manjeet Rai.
The instant application seeking remand of accused persons has been presented by the SDPO Zakura. All the three accused persons have also been presented before the court in proper custody by the Investigating Officer.
The application states that the accused persons have been arrested on 06-04-2026. Medical certificates of the accused persons have also been placed with the application. Perusal of the medical certificate reveals that the accused persons are clinically fit at present.
The court perused the remand application and CD file which reveals that the accused persons are alleged to be involved in the FIR and the investigation of the case is in progress. The court said that adequate grounds exist for remanding the accused persons to Police custody.
