MENDHAR, Aug 2: Ten BSF personnel were injured, two of them seriously when a truck met with an accident in forward area of Balnoi in Mendhar, falling in district Poonch today.
The mishap took place when the vehicle carrying jawans was moving towards 62 Battalion headquarters in the area. The driver lost control due to brake failure and the vehicle was hit against the hill in speed, causing injuries to 10 jawans. They were rushed to Mendhar Unit hospital and two victims were referred to MH Rajouri.
The injured were identified as Head Constable V K Singh, HC Tarsem Singh, Constables Gian Singh, Suresh Kumar, M C Verman, Ravinder Singh, D. Bariyan, Rajesh Kumar, Rinku Ram and Gobind Rupani. Condition of Suresh and Rajesh is said to be serious.
