JAMMU, Aug 2: A five days workshop for the Science teachers of District Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Reasi organized by Science Wing of State Institute of Education (SIE), Jammu concluded here today.
The workshop was inaugurated on July 28 by SK Raina, Sr. Field Advisor.
About 47 Science teachers from the five districts of Jammu division attended the workshop.
HR Pakhroo Joint Director (Trgs.)/Principal SIE Jammu was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who stressed upon the participants to take full benefit of the knowledge which they have acquired during the training period while imparting education to the students of the their respective institutions.
Earlier, Sarita Anand, Field Advisor (Science Wing) under whose supervision the training was conducted impressed upon the participating Science teachers for inculcating scientific attitude and scientific temperament among their students by using innovative methods while teaching Science.
The training programme was coordinated by Charan Dass, RO SIE Jammu. Kulbir Singh, Nand Kishore (+2 Principals), BD Sharma, Shashi Paul Sharma, JP Singh, Suresh Gouria and Puneet Thukral, all Research Officers of SIE Jammu acted as internal resource persons and interacted with the participants on all the three disciplines of Science namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
SK Raina, Shadi Lal Tingloo and Nath Ram, Field Advisors were also present on the occasion.
