UDHAMPUR, Oct 17: Police today rescued 10 bovine animals and arrested two accused smugglers near Latti in Udhampur district.
Acting on reliable information, Police Station Latti laid a surprise naka near Latti and intercepted two smugglers who were walking on foot along with 10 bovine animals without any valid documents.
Police arrested both the persons, namely Irshad Husain, son of Nisar of Marmat Doda and Guljar Ahmad, son of Mohd Husain of Capad Latti and rescued the animals.
A case FIR number 08/17 under Section 188/RPC 3 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Chenani.
