JAMMU, Oct 17: Jammu Rising Stars registered emphatic win against the Jammu Challengers Eleven in the “2nd Diwali Cricket Championship for Under-16 boys”, being played at MA Stadium Cricket Ground here today.
Today, in the third match of the Championship, Jammu Rising Stars defeated Jammu Challengers Eleven by 30 runs .
Batting first, Jammu Rising Stars scored 170 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 30 overs. Abhinav was the main scorer who made 33 runs, Musaif also made valuable 30 runs and Thathagya contributed with 23 runs to the total.
From Jammu Challengers Eleven, Sachin took 3 wickets, Akshit took 2 wickets while Praful took 1 wicket.
Jammu Challengers Eleven in reply could not achieved the target and made 140 in 28.2 overs for the loss of all wickets and thus lost the match by 30 runs .Sachin scored 66 runs, Shivansh and Praful made 14 runs each.
From bowling side Musaif was the main bowler who took 3 wickets, Stephan took 2 wickets while umar, Abhinav, Dhruv and Abhay took 1 wicket each.
Musaif was adjudged as the Man of the Match award.
Sandeep Manchanda and Shugal were the umpires in today’s match.
