UDHAMPUR, Apr 24: The Zonal Level Inter-School Tournament for Girls Under-14 years in the disciplines of Kho-Kho and Kabaddi concluded at Mini Stadium, here today.
Zonal Physical Education Officer Udhampur was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, who declared the tournament closed in a simple function.
The Tournament was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports as part of Annual Calendar of Activities.
About 80 girls drawn from seven Government as well as Private Institutions of Udhampur Zone took part in the Tournament to vie for the top honours.
Earlier, in Kabaddi Under-14 years girls, Government Middle School Mageni emerged winner, while Army Public School Udhampur was the runners-up, while in Kho-Kho Under-14 years girls, Army Public School Udhampur defeated High School Kalta in the summit clash.
The matches were officiated by Raj Kumar Gupta, Rakesh Sawhney, Ranveer Singh, Romesh Chander, Pushap Kumar, Raman Gupta, Sanjeev Verma, Ved Prakash, Bharat Bhushan, Ranjeet Singh, Anita Gupta and Meenu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Parminder Manhas, Jasvinder Singh, Kanchan Sharma, Rajnu Badyal, Deepika Manhas, Mohd Khalid, Sunita Gupta, Kamaljeet Kour, Sunita Gulati and Anita Gupta.
