POONCH, Nov 27: DIET Poonch organized District Level Quiz Competition in Urdu for secondary classes in the premises of Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Sheesh Mahal, here today.
In this way DIET Poonch completed the process of Quiz Competitions while organizing competitions in all disciplines of English, Social Sciences, Sciences, Mathematics, Hindi and Urdu.
The programme was presided over by Riaz Mir, Principal of GHSS Poonch.
Eight teams from different Schools of the District participated in the competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagesh Arya, HoD CMDE wing highlighted the aims and objectives of the competition.
The proceedings of the quiz were conducted by Anwar Khan, Senior Lecturer Urdu, while Harish Kumar and Ajay Maini were the scorer and time-keeper of the programme respectively.
The team of Govt High School Purani Poonch bagged 1st position, while Govt HSS Boys Surankote bagged 2nd and Girls HSS Sheesh Mahal claimed 3rd position.
The winners were presented trophies by the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Anjum Ara, Zulifkar Hussain, Sajjad Hussain and Manmohan Singh.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Anwar Khan.
