SRINAGAR, Oct 20: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Security, Dilbagh Singh, today chaired Zonal Welfare Committee meeting in which relief and welfare loans were sanctioned in favour of police personnel and their wards.
During the meeting, 23 cases of relief and welfare loans of security wings including Security Headquarters, Security Kashmir, AHJ Airport Srinagar, JKAP’s 3rd,4th and 11th battalions pertaining to medical treatment of police personnel and their wards were decided. The welfare loans were also sanctioned for police personnel wards for higher education, marriage and other religious ceremonies. About 12 cases were referred to Police Headquarters for further necessary orders at PHQ level.
The welfare committees are constituted by PHQ to attend to the welfare needs of police personnel especially non gazetted and lower ranks of police.
Among others the meeting was attended by Jagjit Kumar, IGP Security, SSP, SO to ADGP Security, Additional SP Security Kashmir, DySP, and other police officers.
