Zulfkar stresses on immediate digitization of records

SRINAGAR, Sept 9: Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) and Tribal Affairs Ch Zulfkar Ali today called for digitization of Directorate Office of CA&PD at Shaheed Gunj here.
The Minister said this while on a visit to the office today. He was accompanied by Director, CA&PD, Kashmir, Abdul Rashid War and other officers of the department.
During his visit, the Minister went around various sections of the Directorate. He said the record section needs immediate digitization so that records are easily managed and retrievable.
The Minister also stressed on maintaining better work culture in the office so that service delivery is significantly improved.
The Minister asked Director CA&PD to rationalize the staff so that department can utilize its human resource in a better way.
He also called for re-structuring the grievance cell and piece (coupons) section of the Directorate.
Meanwhile, some of the consumers who were present at the office during the visit apprised the Minister of their grievances, who gave on spot instructions to the concerned officers to address the issues immediately.
