RAJOURI, Aug 12: Apni Party vice president and former Education Minister, Choudhary Zulfikar Ali has urged the J&K Government to create additional educational zones in Darhal constituency of Rajouri District at Rajnagar Budhal from Koteranka zone Udan and Badhal from Khawas Jamola from Peeri and Palma from Bal and Nadian from Darhal zones to improve the education system.
In a statement issued here, the former Education Minister said that with the creation of additional educational zones in Darhal constituency, the education system will improve. “These educational zones should be created in Kotranka Sub-District, the area which is very vast and scattered and hundreds of schools are falling in the jurisdiction. In the expansion process, some educational zones are required to be created at Udhan in Khawas zone, Rajnagar Budhal in Koteranka,” he said.
He said that Darhal constituency is topographically and geographically a mountainous area having rivers, forests and small zones due to which the monitoring of the hundreds of schools which are scattered in large areas cannot be done in an effective manner.
“There is no monitoring of schools since they are scattered in large areas, he said, adding, the education system has become weak and poor and the education is ineffective to yield results. He said that there is a need to improve the education system at par with modern techniques of psychological learning to help students to grow mentally and learn effectively.
Thus, the new educational zones will help in overall improvement in the education system especially when the education institutions need improvement. “In previous Government, we had taken initiative in smart and modern classrooms. However, it is missing in the present day education system. The authorities have also not taken any initiative to improve infrastructure,” he said.
He urged the Government to resume smart and model schooling of the students for psychological and physical development.
