The demands was raised by the Party vice president and former Cabinet Minister Choudhary Zulfikar Ali while addressing a public meeting in a remote area at Gabber Bathan in Budhal area.
Zulfikar said that the DPR of the Road was prepared in the previous regime costing about Rs 300 crore and this was principally agreed by the Government of India and the then Union Minister Nitin Ghatkari in a meeting with then Chief Minister of the erstwhile state of J&K.
He said that the road is very important in view of inter-regional connectivity. Besides, he said, it will boost the economic condition of the area and will explore the tourism of the region since the area adjoining this road is most beautiful and seven lakes are located on the sites of this proposed route.”
“The matter was also discussed by a delegation with the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha some time back and the delegation was assured that the construction work on the Road would be taken on priority,” he said.

The people are facing a lot of inconvenience for petty administrative matters and have to visit the tehsil headquarters Kotranka that is 40 kms away from Budhal,” he added.
Meanwhile, he also stressed upon the state administration to gear-up the developmental works which are pending in the area or the pace of the developmental work is very slow due to which the people are deprived of the basic facilities.
