NEW DELHI, Aug 31: Zinc prices moved down 0.37 per cent to Rs 120.30 per kg in futures market today as speculators trimmed their positions, in tandem with a weak Asian trend.
In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in September contracts dropped 45 paise, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 120.30 per kg in business turnover of 256 lots.
Metal for delivery in October also fell by a similar margin to trade at Rs 121 per kg in business turnover of just one lot.
Marketmen said weakness in copper Shanghai and slackened demand at domestic spot markets, mainly influenced zinc prices in futures trade. (PTI)
