NEW DELHI, May 28: Zinc futures prices today edged up by 0.32 per cent to Rs 141 per kg today after speculators created positions amid a firm global trend and better domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in June increased by 45 paise, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 141 per kg, with a business turnover of 156 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in current month traded higher by 40 paise, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 140.50 per kg in a turnover of 632 lots.
Traders said besides improved spot demand, a firming trend in base metals overseas mainly led to rise in zinc prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
