NEW DELHI, Mar 27: Zinc futures firmed up by 0.47 per cent to Rs 118.50 per kg today amid a positive global trend and better domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in March was up by 55 paise, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 118.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 139 lots.
The metal for delivery in April also rose by 50 paise, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 119.35 per kg, with a business turnover of 13 lots.
Analysts said besides improved demand in the spot market, a firming trend in copper and other base metals overseas, supported the upside in zinc prices at futures trade. (AGENCIES)
