Zinc futures up 0.27 pc on overseas cues, spot demand

NEW DELHI, Feb 19: Zinc futures prices today edged up by 0.27 per cent to Rs 129.55 per kg amid a firm global trend and better domestic demand as speculators built-up positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in February edged up by 35 paise, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 129.55 per kg, with a business turnover of 161 lots.
The metal for delivery in March also rose by a similar margin to trade at Rs 129.95 per kg with a business turnover of 13 lots.
Marketmen said improved demand in the domestic spot market and a firming trend in metal overseas supported the rise in metal prices at futures trade. (AGENCIES)
