NEW DELHI, June 12: Zinc futures fell 0.44 per cent to Rs 135.60 per kg today as speculators reduced positions amid sluggish domestic demand and profit-booking.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc prices for delivery in June declined by 60 paise, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 135.60 per kg in a business turnover of 253 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 136.40 per kg in two lots.
Analysts said the fall in zinc prices in futures trade was due to sluggish domestic demand in the spot market amid profit-booking at prevailing levels by speculators. (PTI)
