SHOPIAN, Dec 22: Deputy Commissioner Shopian G. M. Dar on the basis of audit report received from Chief Education Officer, Shopian regarding huge financial irregularities, placed the Zonal Education Officer, Keegam Shopian Abdul Salam Bhat under suspension.
The Chief Education Officer, Shopian has been directed to come up with a detailed enquiry report along with concrete recommendations in this behalf.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara during a surprise inspection today of Block office, AD Handicrafts, XEn REW, XEn PHE, XEn I&FC, PDD, ACD office and Chief Education office in Kupwara, found 80 employees absent from duty.
The Deputy Commissioner recommended suspension of the absentees.
