JAMMU, Dec 5: Development in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory is the top priority of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre which is evident now with the visit of lakhs of tourists this year.
This was stated by Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president while inaugurating the development work of a deep drain along with councilor Nidhi Mangotra at New Plot area here. This development work will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 32 lakh and was started in presence of Raman Sharma Ambphalla Mandal President, BJP, Ishant Mahajan, district president, Yuva Morcha, Davinder, Smarty, Rahul, Rocky (booth president of Ward No 17), Balwan Singh Ex. councilor of Ward 17, Yuva Morcha team and prominent people of the area.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said that the Central Government is committed to provide world-class amenities to the people of Jammu and in the future, the City of Temples will be among the greenest and cleanest cities of the country. He said that for the last many years, the gates of development have opened for J&K which is evident from the fact that all the Centrally Sponsored Schemes and programmes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, MUDRA, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Scholarship Schemes for students, welfare schemes for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes are now implemented in J&K.
“The BJP Government at the Centre has granted adequate funds time to time for the overall development of Jammu so as this mission goes on, without any hindrance, he said and assured that the liberal funding from the Centre will continue in the future,” Sethi said.
Councilor Nidhi, in her address, said that the Government is working relentlessly to create state of art modern facilities infrastructure for the people. She asserted that while the Government is making every endeavour in transformation of Jammu city, it cannot be accomplished successfully without the proactive participation of the people.
Later, the Councilor met with people of the area and listened to their grievances and assured for their timely redressal.
