JAMMU, Sept 3: Senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi today launched development works in the Rajiv Nagar area, here.
These include works  from Shiv Mandir to Rajiv Nagar, Ward Number 19 (near Tawi Bank) and construction of lane and drain besides ensuring the beautification of the area.
While starting the works, Yudhvir enlisted series of development projects which have been initiated in the Winter Capital to upgrade the infrastructure and provide modern urban facilities to the city resident. He said the government has initiated series of projects to ensure that the Capital City becomes more attractive for the visiting tourists and the city becomes an independent tourist destination point.
“We have kick started the works to ensure that banks of the famous and pious Surya Putri Tawi  are developed into a tourist attracting point and the area gets modern infrastructural facilities,” he added.
He said that the faith posed by the public on the BJP for addressing aspirations of the region would be honoured and all out efforts would be made to come up to the expectations of the people. He said the agenda of alliance between the two parties is based on the foundation of development, peace and progress of the State.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include, Ex-Corporator Lalita Sharma, Sardar Gurcharan Singh Ward Pardhan, Dr. Parshotam, Sardar Darshan Singh, Bobby BJP Youth, Kamal Balgotra, Ankush Jangral, Anil Mehra, Sunny Sehgal, Rakesh Bhalla, Vikas Khan, Sunil Kumar, Bittu Pardan, Sanjeev Bali and Govind Sareen.
