JAMMU, May 28: To address the long pending demand of the residents of Prem Nagar area with regard to various pending developmental issues, Senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi kick started development works in the locality, today.
The people of the area had represented their issues and the same were taken up with the concerned departments by Yudhvir. He took up the matter with the higher officers and a team of officers from Jammu Municipal Corporation, Power Development Department and Social Welfare Department.
Noting that the depleted condition of lanes and drains was making life of commuters very difficult, Yudhvir started lying of tiles and directed the authorities to ensure that quality of the works should be of high standard.
He also enjoined upon the Municipal authorities to launch a special sanitation drive in the area and on spot cleaning of choked drains was started.
In order to ensure that people get benefits of various social welfare schemes of the Government in a time bound manner, Yudhvir personally supervised the form distribution of different welfare schemes like Widow Pension, Old Age pension and other social welfare schemes.
