JAMMU, Sept 15: Agitated over vandalizing of national emblem outside Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar, Yuva Rajput Sabha today held a strong protest demonstration demanding exemplary action against the culprit.
A number of Yuva Rajput Sabha activists and their leaders assembled near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh near main Tawi Bridge and raised slogans to express their anger against the purported incident of vandalizing the national emblem.
The protest was led by Sanjeev Singh Rinku, President of Yuva Rajput Sabha, who was accompanied by former presidents Surinder Singh Gilli, Rajveer Singh, Rajan Singh Happy, Vikram Singh , Members of the Core Committee and others State team members.
Shouting slogans, the YRS members demanded stern and exemplary action against the culprits involved in the incident at Hazratbal shrine. They also criticized the political parties for their silence over the attack on national symbols in Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing the gathering, Sanjeev Singh Rinku said that YRS would not tolerate assault on national symbols, which are soul of the country. He appealed the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to ensure that the conspiracy behind vandalizing the national emblem is exposed and all culprits are served punished under stringent laws like Public Safety Act.
