Youth’s body recovered from gorge

POONCH, Nov 27: Mystery shrouds the death of a youth whose body was recovered from a deep gorge in Shahpur area of Poonch today.
Official sources said that 30-years-old, Mohd Mushtaq, son of Mohd Yousuf, resident of Shahpur village near the LoC, was working as a cook with GREF authorities in the area. As per his family members, Mushtaq went to the place of work at about 8 AM in the morning. After some time, one of the GREF official called his father on phone and asked about the whereabouts of Mushtaq. The family told that he had left for his job in the morning. But the official said that he has not reported on his duty.
The family members and relatives started searching him on the routine route and at about 2:30 PM, they found his body lying in a deep gorge. The matter was reported to Poonch police which rushed to the spot and after examining spot, shifted it to district hospital, Poonch for postmortem.
Station House Officer, Poonch Inspector Deepak Pathania said that after doing all legal formalities, body was handed over to the family, while inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated.
