JAMMU, Aug 6: Police today said the youth Syeed Murfad Shah of Chinore, Bantalab, who was gunned down by the CRPF at the residence of former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah after he gate-crashed his car inside the house yesterday, had travelled to Nagrota, Sarore and Supwal in the morning before reaching Bhatindi.
“Mobile telephone signals of Murfad obtained by police showed that he was in Nagrota around 6 am and then Sarore and Supwal on Jammu-Samba road before reaching Bhatindi,” police sources said.
CCTV footage at Wave Mall showed that he crossed the road around 9.50 am at very high speed and reached Farooq’s residence at 9.55 am.
However, there were no CCTV cameras installed at the residence of Abdullahs at Bhatindi.
Murfad had used Internet on his mobile telephone.
However, his telephone couldn’t be opened as he had fixed password in it. The mobile telephone will be sent to New Delhi for breaking password, police said.
