JAMMU, Aug 7: On the direction of Kamlesh Bharadwaj, National President Shiv Sena Samajwadi Party (SSSP), a meeting of workers was held today under the chairmanship of Parbhari, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, Madam Dorthi.
The meeting was also attended by senior vice president Jammu and Kashmir Manish Kumar Parcha, President Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Nabi, senior vice president Yuva Morcha Punjab Deepak Kumar and district president, Mahila wing, Rekha Khokhar.
In the meeting, party leaders nominated Kashmiro Devi as block president, Mahila wing of block Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Manish Kumar Parcha spoke about the menace of drug abuse and various psychological and medical issues associated with it. He made an earnest appeal to the public at large to strictly keep a close watch on their wards, especially school going children, in order to keep them away from the evils of drugs.
He also laid emphasis upon general public to keep an eye on those unscrupulous elements who are selling the poison in the form of drugs to innocent youth.
He also stressed upon role of youth as future of any society and why there is a need that our youth should be physically and mentally healthy. He appealed them say no to drug and live a healthy life.
