Youth urge DyCM to resume work on Rattle Project

KISHTWAR, Mar 8: The unemployed youths of District Kishtwar today met under the banner of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) and discussed employment related problem.
The participants urged the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh to immediately resume work on the Rattle Hydroelectric Project Drabshalla so that the unemployed youths of the district could get opportunity of employment in the said project.
The Deputy Chief Minister was urged to intervene into the matter and ask the management of GVK to immediately resume the work on Rattle Hydroelectric Project Drabshalla with the direction to first re-engage the retrenched workers in the said projects and provide priority of employment to local unemployed youths of the district.
There are a number of skilled youths available in Kishtwar district having sufficient experience in handling various kind of machineries being used in hydroelectric projects, the meeting asserted.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Joginder Bhandari, Anil Sharma, Sameer Butt, Rinku Tandulkar, Hafizullsh Mattoo, Mohd Amin Butt, Tariq Shah, Javed Sheikh, Sardar Satpal Singh etc.
