JAMMU, Apr 28: In a shameful incident, a youth has been arrested to outrage the modesty of his cousin (sister) in RS Pura border belt.
Police spokesman said that, the accused took away the girl from her home on some pretext and tried to outrage her modesty at an isolated place in Shatriya area, falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station.
However, the girl managed to escape from the spot and after reaching home, narrated the whole incident to her family members, who lodged a complaint at RS Pura police, he added.
Police party from RS Pura police station arrested the accused, who has been identified as Deepak Chib, resident of same area. Rahul Singh, who accompanied the accused was also arrested, he said.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at RS Pura police station and further investigation into the case is going on.
