Youth stabbed at Simbal Chowk

JAMMU, May 12: A youth was stabbed today by some notorious criminals at Simbal area of city outskirts.
According to the reports, seven to eight persons in two vehicles (a black gypsy having Punjab number and a Santro car) reached Matador Stand, Simbal and attacked one Sachin Singh son of Nagar Mal, a resident of Purana Pind (RS Pura) with sharp edged weapons while Happy, the friend of Sachin Singh managed to give attackers a slip.
In the attack Sachin received serious injuries over his body and one of his thumbs was completely cut. He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu by the locals, where his condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
According to the reports, the attackers had come to kill Happy, a notorious criminal of Simbal Camp against whom a case of attempt to murder is already registered at police station Miran Sahib. However, he managed to flee from the spot while his accomplice, Sachin Singh, was nabbed by the accused, who attacked him with sharp edge weapons and left him seriously injured.
In this regard, a case FIR No 73/2015 under Section 307, 149, 4/25 Arms Act has been registered against the accused and a manhunt launched to nab them.
