RAJOURI, Jan 25: The police arrested a youth and recovered some quantity of heroin from his possession in Rajouri town today.
A police spokesman said that at 9 am today, a police naka party during checking at Chhaperian, near petrol pump intercepted a motorcycle No JK-11E/ 5127 for checking. During frisking about 15 gms heroin was recovered from the possession of accused bike rider. He was identified as Haroon Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid and pillion rider- Azmat Shah, son of Nazir Shah resident of Kote Dhara in Rajouri. A woman was also accompanying them.
The police apprehended the accused and registered a case FIR No. 36/2022 U/S 8(a) 21 /29 NDPS Act at Police Station, Rajouri. Further, investigation was in progress.
